Dr. Charryse Johnson

Dr. Charryse Johnson is a veteran psychotherapist, author, and keynote speaker whose work focuses on the intersection of trauma, integrative mental health, neuroscience, and social justice. She is the founder of Jade Integrative Counseling and Wellness where personal values, the search for meaning, and the power of choice are the central focus. As a clinician, she has worked with individuals, couples and families across the lifespan and is adept at helping individuals navigate challenging life transitions and identity development.

Dr. Johnson holds a B.A. in both Vocal Music and Human Development and Family Studies, an M.A. in Professional Counselling, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, with a focus on crisis and trauma. As an executive wellness consultant, she supports non-profits, educational institutions, and corporations looking to develop strategic initiatives that center leadership, inclusivity, and emotional well-being. She has supported organizations such as LPL Financial, Exude Inc., Dentsu International, and Nations of Coaches.

In August 2021, she released her first book, Expired Mindsets, and was later identified as “10 Authors to Watch in 2022” by The American Reporter. Dr.Johnson is has also published Mindset Matters, a guided journal based on her 5-on-5 System of success, and EMBRACE: 28 Days of Self Love.  Throughout the year she frequents  as a keynote speaker and panelist at summits  and conferences around the world. Her presentations center on topics such as corporate wellness, mental health, neuroscience, and interpersonal effectiveness. The unique combination of her education and lived experiences allow Dr.Johnson to tailor and customize her approach while maintaining effectiveness.

As a mental health expert, Dr.Johnson is a frequent advocate and advisor for news stations in Charlotte,NC and the surrounding community Her thought leadership has been featured in CNBC Online News, Prevention, Romper, and the Atlassian. In February 2023 Dr.Johnson was featured on the cover of WomLEAD, a print and digital magazine for female founders and leaders. She is also a Senior Executive Contributor for BRAINZ Magazine, a global digital magazine that invites Entrepreneurs, Coaches, & Business Experts to share their knowledge with the world.

In her spare time, Dr. Johnson can be found shopping, traveling, doing yoga, or  walking the streets in one of her favorite statement tees. She and her husband Randy, have two amazing young adult children and they will celebrate twenty-five years of marriage in July 2023.
